At Tesco, we're focused on making it a little easier for our colleagues and customers to eat well and stay healthy.

We work in partnership with health charities and experts to promote healthy living, and support prevention and cure for the biggest health challenges we face. Our strategic partnership with Cancer Research UK, Diabetes UK and the British Heart Foundation aims to support colleagues, customers and their families to make sustainable lifestyle changes and adopt healthy habits.

On the 9th of January 2018, Tesco launched the new health charity partnership. View the slides from the event.

UK’s Healthiest Workplace

The partnership will develop the UK’s leading workplace health programme for our 300,000 colleagues. Building on the steps we have already taken over the last 12 months, including healthy deals and discounts, free health checks, and a growing focus on mental health and wellbeing, aiming to help our 300,000 UK colleagues be at their best at work and at home.

Healthier shopping baskets

We’ve been working over the last few years to understand the nutritional profile of our customers’ shopping baskets, in partnership with government and leading health experts. We want to share these insights and anonymised information about shopping habits with policymakers and health expects to develop initiatives that help customers and colleagues live healthier lives.

We're proud of our long history of fundraising for health charities, including our 17 year partnership with Cancer Research UK on Race for Life plus our groundbreaking 3 year partnership with Diabetes UK and the British Heart Foundation. Over the last twenty years we have raised over £130m together with our charity partners. We aim to develop innovative fundraising initiatives that are simple and impactful to raise money for causes that matter to our colleagues and customers.
