Product - Sourcing
Strong, trusted partnerships are essential to our supply chain. Our commitment is to make sustainable products accessible and affordable for all by tackling some of the key challenges facing food production and consumption. We’re working with our suppliers and a number of partners to ensure there is no place for human rights abuses, including modern slavery, in our supply chain. Our targets on zero net deforestation, sustainable agriculture and addressing climate change will help to protect and sustain natural environments for the long-term. And we are leading the industry in the drive for truly sustainable fisheries and reducing marine pollution.
As a food business, our long-term success depends on the health of the natural environment. From the fresh fruit, vegetables, meat and fish we sell, to the raw materials that go into our other products, they all come from natural ecosystems.
One of our business values is that we treat people how they want to be treated. We want everyone who works for or with Tesco to have their human rights upheld and we know our customers, colleagues and suppliers do too.
We want to be a force for change by reducing our social and environmental impact and addressing the challenges facing the fashion industry now and in the future.
At Tesco we value the long-term partnerships we have with our farmers and growers. Through these partnerships we’re able to offer customers affordable, fresh, quality food that’s fair for all.
