Tesco’s popular Clubcard Exchange returns on Monday 14 May to help customers make big savings as they get ready for the summer.

During the month-long promotion, customers can turn £5 of Clubcard vouchers into a £10 Exchange token.

Summer Clubcard Exchange

Clubcard Exchange tokens can be spent on hundreds of products that families will be buying for the summer, including clothes, garden furniture and accessories, toys and bikes, cameras and sat navs.

Janet Smith, Tesco Clubcard Director, said: "The Clubcard Exchange is incredibly popular with our customers. By increasing the value of Clubcard vouchers, it makes a real difference and makes budgets go further by offering huge savings on a fantastic range of products.

"We’re really pleased that for this Exchange we can help customers with their preparations for the many summer celebrations that are coming up."

The Exchange will run between 14 May – 13 June 2012, and customers will be able to redeem their Exchange tokens until 19 June. There is no limit to how many Clubcard vouchers customers can exchange.

The complete list of departments in which customers can exchange their vouchers for tokens are:

  • Clothing (available in store and online)
  • Toys, Bikes & Camping (available in store and online)
  • Opticians (available in store only)
  • Baby & Toddler (available in store and online)
  • Pet Food (available in store and online)
  • Gardening, Gardening Furniture & BBQ (available in store and online)
  • Small Domestic Appliances & Personal Electrical (available in store and online)
  • Furniture (available in store and online)
  • Cameras, Sat Navs & Audio (available in store and online)
  • Phones & Accessories (available in store and online)

Tesco is also making it easier for customers to take advantage of the Exchange by enabling them to exchange their vouchers online and print their tokens at home, so they can arrive in store with their exchange tokens in hand. To do these customers should visit and follow the simple steps.

Tesco will be supporting Summer Clubcard Summer Exchange with a TV and Radio ad campaign which breaks on Monday and runs until 20 May. The focus of the ad is on how Clubcard Exchange works and making your vouchers go further. The creative shows a young boy doing lots of different chores around the house to earn his pocket money. Instead of his usual £5 he points to the £5 Clubcard voucher on the fridge – as he knows he can turn into a £10 token to buy his favourite toy at Tesco.
