Tesco to cut diesel by 2p and unleaded by 1p per litre – perfect for filling up as you set off on a weekend away.

Britain's biggest fuel retailer has cut the cost of diesel by 2p per litre and unleaded petrol by 1p per litre at all of its petrol filling stations. The changes will come into effect from 3pm this afternoon. Tesco’s network of 500 petrol filling stations is the largest of all UK supermarkets and the drop means millions of motorists across the country can save even more.

Peter Cattell, Fuel Director for Tesco said: “We know that lots of customers will be setting off tonight on summer weekends away, so we’re dropping the price of our fuel this afternoon. This reduction of 2p per litre on diesel and 1p per litre on unleaded, at all our 500 petrol filing stations, will mean millions of customers save money by shopping at Tesco”.
