Meet a local legend

Tesco Community Champion Gilbert has been called a “humble hero” for his work helping charities in Salisbury with donations and funding.

Say hello to Betty

She’s one of the millions across the UK who have had a meal provided through Tesco Community Food Connection, the nation’s largest food redistribution programme.

Help for Home-Start

This local charity was chosen to receive a £1,000 Tesco Community Grant by shoppers voting with their blue token in store. They used the grant to support families through their toughest times. Since 2016 we’ve supported over 49,000 community groups with more than £97m in grants.

Partnering with the British Red Cross

Tesco has a long history of working with the British Red Cross. Since 1997, together with our customers and colleagues in the UK, we have donated over £14.6m to support their work.

We’re proud to be part of local communities and we want to make a positive difference by supporting local causes.

Food redistribution

Tesco runs the UK's largest food redistribution programme with partners FareShare and OLIO. Together, we've donated 145 million meals to thousands of charities.

Food donations

Through the generosity of Tesco customers we've provided the equivalent of more than 100m meals to our charity partners FareShare and the Trussell Trust.

Tesco Community Grants

Open to registered charities and not-for-profit groups, Tesco Community Grants support thousands of local community projects and good causes across the UK.

Community Champions

Community Champions help to connect Tesco stores with local community groups. They are the heart of our communities.

This wouldn’t be possible without close collaboration with our charity partners
