We are committed to listening to all stakeholder groups. The insight we gain helps us understand their views of Tesco and sustainability issues and allows us to evolve our priorities. We listen to stakeholders in a variety of ways.
We commission independent customer research each year, which helps us understand where customers think we should focus and how well they feel we are addressing these issues. Across our markets customers tell us similar things. They want great quality, fresh, affordable food that is produced with respect for farmers and suppliers, and for us to ensure all our colleagues are treated fairly.
Our Every Voice Matters colleague listening programme provides insight to how our colleagues are feeling and the actions we are taking as a business. We also have global Colleague Contribution Panels which are hosted by an independent Non-executive Director and provide feedback on areas of specific interest. Our colleagues continue to tell us that one of the things that makes them feel proud to work at Tesco is the contribution we make to local communities.
We maintain open dialogue with our suppliers and are committed to building trusted partnerships, that help deliver value and quality to our customers, and help our suppliers to develop and grow. We invite suppliers to provide their feedback on their interaction and experiences with Tesco via supplier surveys and we hold supplier conferences to share best practice and learnings across our supply chain.
We maintain regular dialogue with investors and analysts throughout the year, attending meetings and responding to questions on particular issues of interest. Our Annual General Meeting allows all shareholders the opportunity to ask questions and in 2019 we hosted ESG and Capital Markets days, providing an opportunity for investors, analysts and lenders to hear more about our Little Helps Plan and ask questions. We participate in a number of ESG/SRI indices and benchmarks.
We engage with a broad range of stakeholders including Government and regulators, NGOs, trade bodies, community groups and the media. Engagement ranges from meetings and visits, participating in working groups, responding to information requests and surveys and multi-stakeholder projects.
We maintain an open door for all stakeholders via firstname.lastname@example.org
