Using Clubcard, we can keep a running total of a Clubcard customer’s spending with Tesco every month and each time they reach a cumulative £50 mark, we will reward them with 2p off a litre of fuel. Whether they spend £20 online, £20 in a big store a few days later and then £10 in a convenience store, the amounts add up and provided they use their Clubcard, we will credit them with 2p off every litre to spend when they want to.

Behind every little thing we do to improve our customers’ Tesco experience there’s a team of IT experts working away. I’m not just talking about new shopping apps, or the launch of Tesco’s hudl tablet. I’m talking about how we make sure we’ve got the right stock on our shelves, the same prices on our labels as at the till, and the facility to ‘Scan as you Shop’ so you don’t have to queue.
We all know how badly the recent flooding has impacted a huge number of people, particularly in the South West and the Thames Valley. Events like this can wreck the homes and livelihoods of hardworking people, and we want to do everything possible to help the communities we serve. That’s why today we’re launching a new initiative - called the Big Clean Up - to help our local communities recover.
We’re delighted to announce that our partnership with Tesco has raised an incredible £10 million in its first 12 months. It is a huge tribute to the tremendous support of Tesco colleagues and customers. They’ve Danced for Diabetes, cycled the length of Britain, created Winter Wonderlands and even jumped out of planes – all to raise money for Diabetes UK.
