Tesco Poland organise charity fun run in Kraków

Building on the success of the inaugural Tesco foundation charity run last year, our team in Poland held a hugely successful 2013 edition of the event in Kraków.

This year’s event was aimed at raising funds for the Neurological Clinic at Kraków’s University Children’s Hospital which treats over 12,000 patients a year.

Over 800 people took part in the run, including colleagues from Tesco. As well as the run itself, there were many activities for the whole family. Our Healthy Appetites team were offering free consultations with dieticians and giving out healthy snacks for children. Nearly 2000 delicious apples were also handed out to competitors.

Although we are awaiting a final total, so far the event has raised over £10,000. Thanks to the Tesco Foundation, the University Children’s Hospital in Kraków will now be able to purchase vital medical equipment and renovate a common-room for young patients.
