Encouraging healthy ways of breakfasting during the holy month of Ramadan

To encourage healthy ways of breakfasting during the holy month of Ramadan, Tesco Malaysia arranged for a van to travel around the country and distribute free cups of fresh juice to local communities.

The van stopped at 23 Tesco stores across Malaysia as well as other prominent places in the local community, such as police and fire stations, mosques and community halls. In total more than 50,000 cups of fresh watermelon juice were distributed.

The programme, called Juice on Wheels, is part of Tesco Malaysia’s ‘5-a-day’ campaign, which encourages customers to eat at least five portions of fruit and vegetables each day. The van was a great way of both bringing local communities together and also encouraging healthier living.
