Trigger top

As part of a new recycling trial running from December 2014 until March 2015, customers will be able to recycle ‘trigger tops’ and ‘flip caps’ from home care plastic bottles at eleven of our large stores across Somerset and Gloucestershire.

These sort of plastic tops and caps are not currently accepted as part of kerbside recycling collections in the area, so this trial will help local residents recycle more of their plastic.

To take part you simply need to separate the trigger top or flip cap from its plastic bottle and bring them to a dedicated recycling unit at one of our participating stores. These are: Stow-on-the-Wold, Brockworth, Quedgeley, Stroud, Cirencester, Tetbury, Wells, Langport, Yeovil, Ilminster and Minehead.

Other partners in the trial include TerraCycle, Procter and Gamble, WRAP, Gloucestershire Joint Waste Team, Somerset Waste Partnership and LRS Consultancy. For more information visit http://www.terracycle.co.uk/en-UK/pages/triggertops.html
