Tesco turns pink

A big thank you to everyone who took part in #TescoTurnsPink over the weekend and helped to support Cancer Research UK.

#TescoTurnsPink saw thousands of Tesco colleagues wear something pink in an effort to raise money for Cancer Research UK (CRUK). Volunteers from CRUK also came to some of our stores to raise money, whilst in others customers were also able to exchange a bag of their unwanted clothes for a £5 off £25 F&F clothing voucher. All the clothing donated will be given to CRUK to either recycle or sell in their stores.

We are very proud to be the official partner of CRUK’s Race for Life and this year marks our 14th year! Since 2002 we have helped to raise over £20 million for the charity and along with millions of our customers more than 250,000 of our colleagues have taken part in Race for Life.

This year nearly 9,000 of our colleagues have already signed up to Race for Life and our target is to  get 20,000 women across the business to run, walk, jog or dance to raise vital funds for the charity. We are also asking male colleagues to get involved by volunteering at an event, sponsoring a colleague or going along to one of the events to cheer their colleagues on. And there’s still time to take part!

There are over 300 Race for Life events taking place across the UK this year and there’s bound to be one close to you. To find out more information, check out the CRUK Race for Life website
