We are pleased to announce that Girlguiding groups, from this week onwards, will be able to book free Farm to Fork Trails in partnership with Tesco’s Eat Happy Project, including Healthy Eating, Sustainability and Explore the Store. As the UK’s leading charity for girls and young women, Girlguiding provides opportunity for girls to have fun, gain valuable life skills and reach their potential. By partnering with the Eat Happy Project, girls will also have the chance to build a happier, healthier relationship with food.

Rainbows (girls aged 5 to 7) and Brownies (7 to 10) will have the chance to learn about where their food comes from through various interactive activities. They might be tasting a variety of fruit and vegetables, learning how bread is made or even watching a fish being gutted at the a seafood counter! All girls who complete the trail will get a special Eat Happy fun badge.

This follows a very successful partnership with the Scout Association last year. In total over 1 million children from schools and youth groups have been on a Farm to Fork Trail in one of our stores or farms.

The Tesco Eat Happy Project is geared towards children aged between 4 and 11, and there are lots of ways for parents to get involved too. You can find out more about the Tesco Eat Happy Project here.
