Tesco continues to cover VAT on its suncare range for Summer 2025 as more products suitable for all skin tones launch

Tesco Soleil range now reformulated with even more products offering an invisible finish on all skin tones  

With spring approaching, Tesco has confirmed it will cover the VAT for customers buying its own brand Tesco Soleil suncare products this summer, keeping down the cost of staying safe in the sun, as it has done since 2021. 

Even more of the Tesco Soleil suncare products will be available with an improved formula which means they are suitable for all skin tones and blend seamlessly into the skin for an invisible finish, with additional reformulated products launching this week. 

The new formulas don’t leave a white residue, but still provide broad spectrum 5-star UVA and UVB protection. It is essential that people still protect themselves from the sun as UV rays can cause skin damage, even on a cloudy day in the UK. The UV index is a free and widely available prevention tool which anyone can use to understand the strength of the UV rays and the risk of sunburn on that day. The higher the number, the less time it takes for your skin to become damaged by the sun.*

What's more, at Tesco, we think everyone should feel able to wear effective sun protection, which is why we have reformulated the range to be more inclusive, giving an invisible finish on all skin tones.” 

Since Tesco first covered VAT on its Tesco Soleil sun care products in 2021, it has helped customers save more than £2 million, while keeping themselves and their families safe in the sun. Stocking up on essential sun protection now can help spread the cost of holidays through the year.
