Medical Insurance for colleagues in Bengaluru

At Tesco we want to offer colleagues a reward package that they really value. We also want to help colleagues be at their best and look after their health and wellbeing.

In Bengaluru we have extended our healthcare offer to include free medical insurance for parents and families of colleagues. We are in the top 10% of organisations in India who provide this benefit and over 95% of colleagues have already signed up. The new initiative is widely welcomed by our colleagues.

Himanshu Das, who works in Bengaluru, said: “It is a great initiative by Tesco, clubbing our parents under the Standard Medical Insurance plan and including our spouse and kids. Previously, we had to pay an extra premium to cover our parents under a different plan which many were skeptical to do for various reasons. I really appreciate the intention and concern of our leadership team by taking this big step in order to create an awesome place to work and treat our parents as partners.”
