Vote now for Bags of Help Centenary Grants and Tesco Centenary Fund

To celebrate Tesco’s Centenary year, the supermarket is running two different projects that will benefit local community groups across the UK: Tesco Bags of Help Centenary Grants in England, Scotland and Wales, and Tesco Centenary Fund in Northern Ireland.

Starting from 1 July, Tesco is holding a special voting round for projects dedicated to health and wellbeing. In line with its Health Charity Partnership, Tesco is particularly looking to support projects with a focus on cancer, diabetes and heart disease.

Bags of Help Centenary Grants

In England, Scotland and Wales, Tesco’s Bags of Help Centenary Grants will be giving away grant amounts of:

  • £25,000 (first place)
  • £15,000 (second place)
  • £10,000 (third place).

Tesco Centenary Fund

Across Northern Ireland, Tesco has developed a new programme: Tesco Centenary Fund. Run in partnership with environmental charity, Groundwork, the scheme will provide grants of:

  • £50,000 (first place)
  • £30,000 (second place)
  • £20,000 (third place).

These will go towards six community projects throughout the year, with three of the projects shortlisted by colleagues to face a customer vote. The three projects for July / August will be:
